Fern House Creations

A Sister Partnership

Maggie and Betsy Talbot have a shared love of art and creating. They both picked up stained glass around the same time, independently of each other. which made for a very funny phone call when they discovered this. Betsy, the younger of the two, started Fern House Creations in her junior year of college, where she would work a few markets here and there for some extra pocket change. Her sister, Maggie, saw potential in the little business and asked if she could be able to join and help grow the business with her little sister.

Maggie was always the creative type, always drawing and creating. Betsy thought she was the coolest and wanted to be just like her, so she started drawing and exploring the arts, all the way to the point where she is getting her BFA in studio art. Maggie, on the other hand, didn’t think pursuing the arts was a real option and opted to try and achieve a degree in engineering. Though things didn’t work out, she was encouraged by seeing her sister pursue art and regain her passion for it. The little sister she inspired, turned out to be her own inspiration, showing her that despite the risks of pursuing a career in the arts, it will always be better than ignoring those inclinations. Together, they make up Fern House Creations
